13. Use a circuit tester to verify that the positive (+) lead connected to the battery holder is connected to the red lead that connects to the LED assembly. The cap lamp switch will need to be turned to make this connection. Testing is vital if connected in reverse the LED assembly will burn out.
14. Reassemble the cap lamp by pushing the reflector into the housing, refitting the glass and screwing on the bezel. Note if the LED assembly is glued onto the reflector it is not possible to fully tighten the bezel as the glass touched the LED assembly. It is worth considering not using the reflector as a mount then the LED assembly can be mounted lower in the housing and this problem will not occur. 8 |
