Axbridge Ochre Mine

Banwell Bone Cave - Archaeological and Cave dig - Bones from Reindeer, Wild Boar, Bison, Cave Bear & Wolf.

Banwell Levy - Dug 1951-52. Very unstable.

Banwell Stalactite Cave - Extension in 1970 found the Green Lake; more extensions found in 1981.

Battscombe Quarry Cave - Small Chamber found in 1970.

Bleadon Cavern - ACG were the first to enter the lower series.

Callow Lime Works Quarry Caves - Dug in 1967, very unstable, entrance filled in.

Canada Coombe Cave - discovered by ACG in 1995 and still being dug.

Canada Coombe Rock Shelter - Choke dug by ACG in 1971.

Challengers Hole - Small cave surveyed by ACG in 1966.

Chelmscombe Quarry Cave - Discovered by quarrying 31 May 1954 & explored and surveyed by ACG in June 1954.

Claire’s Crevice - Small cave surveyed by ACG in 1966.

Coral Cave - Discovered by Balch in 1905. Reopened by ACG and dug 1961 - 1965. Owned by NT key held by ACG.

Dolebury Levy - Reopened by ACG in 1970.

Drunkards Hole - Extensions found by ACG in 1971.

Eastwater - Entrance & boulder ruckle collapsed in 1967, an alternate rout through was opened up by ACG in 1969.

Falling Scree Shelter - Dug by ACG in 1970. Abandoned due to instability.

Flint Crevice - Archaeological Dig.

Fountain Mine Shipham - Explored & Surveyed by ACG in 1984.

Goatchurch - ACG carried out excavations in the Water Chamber in 1967. Orange Peel extensions found in 1990.

Gough’s Cave - ACG helped dig the passage where the CDG found the new stream passage in 1986.

Grebe Swalet - Discovered by ACG after the ’68 flood.

Hutton Hill Hole - Discovered and dug by ACG and BDCC in 1993

Hillend Hole - Explored by ACG in 1970, destroyed by motorway building work.

Jays Cave – Discovered by ACG in 1999

Large Chamber Hole - Dug by ACG in 1954 found to be filled with mining spoil.

Letterbox Cave - Located by ACG in 1954 - not excavated.

Loxton Quarry Cave - New extensions dug by ACG 1996 and 1999

Ludwell Cave - Dug & Surveyed by ACG in 1962.

Mendip Hospital Rift - Unsuccessful dig by ACG in 1962.

Triple -H Cave - Archaeological Dig in 1952 - Rhino, Wolf Hyena and Bear Bones.

Tynings Barrow Swallet - Opened and explored by ACG after the ’68 floods. Digging in Bertie’s Paradise 1996.

Tynings Field Dig - Dug in 1968

Ubley Warren Swallet - Dig began in 1964 finding the Nettle & Foot & Crutch Series.

Viaduct Sink - Dig by ACG in 1976.

Vixens Hole - Dug by ACG in 1966.

White Cliff Cave - Lower entrance dug in 1995

Whitley Head Rift - Dug by ACG in 1971.

Winscombe Railway Cutting Dig - Found by ACG in 1970. Very small rift.
